We are passionate about helping the local community in Jersey and care deeply about the environment that we are working in.  Our team loves to get involved in the local community supporting local charities and fundraisers across the island. We take the opportunity to get involved from a hands on perspective.

We believe in working with our community, ensuring we support local business and promoting staff involvement with their chosen charities. Whether this be by sanctioning time during the working day to offer their support or by funding specific initiatives.

Magellan consultants transfer their enthusiasm and skills to the wider community when the opportunities arise.

Current support / activity

Magellan will be donating their time and expertise to support JET www.jet.co.je and Acorn Acorn – Reuse, plant nursery and Woodshack on a number of projects. Our three year partnership with Acorn Enterprises and the Jersey Employment Trust means that we can use our skills to benefit not just these two worthy charities but also their clients who, due to their disability or long term illness, seek employment or vocational training support. Sponsored and supported the Jersey Judo Squad, including the Island Games Team and Junior Academy for the past three years.
Supporting Philip’s Footprints by providing computer equipment and the development of a new website.
Past Community Support and commitments have included:
Offered financial support to the Jersey Rugby and Football Club’s Under 6’s team and have also volunteered our time weekly to manage and coach the aspiring players to reach their sporting goals.
Sponsoring the Family Nursing and Home care Scarecrow Trail to raise awareness and funding.
Supported the association in drafting their new grant approval process as part of a pro bono project. See case study.
Re-structure of the Governance structure of Jersey Cricket with the creation of a Strategic Board and Operational committees which now satisfies the requirements of the International Cricket Committee (ICC). Magellan provided direct assistance to the CEO and the previous Executive to ensure all stakeholders views were considered during these changes.
